Sciences Po Seydoux Undergraduate Scholarships in France

Sciences Po Seydoux Undergraduate Scholarship enables excellent students from developing countries to pursue undergraduate studies in France. The scholarship is open to citizens and/or residents in ten countries located in the expanded Mediterranean Basin allowing who wish to study at Sciences Po at the undergraduate or graduate level.

The aim of the scholarship is to promote the education of the developing country students.

Sciences Po or Paris Institute of Political Studies is a university located in Paris, France. It has the reputation in France of being an elite institution and was ranked 4th globally in Politics and International Studies by the QS World University Subjects Rankings 2017.

Course Level: These scholarships are available to pursue the undergraduate degree.

Study Subject: These scholarships are awarded in the subject offer by the university.

Scholarship Award: Students will receive a scholarship amounting to 20 000€ per year for the duration of their undergraduate studies programme.

Eligibility: Applicants must meet the following area for the scholarship:

  • The Seydoux scholarship is intended for students who are able to demonstrate a real interest in relations between Mediterranean countries. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic excellence, social criteria as well as the criteria as listed below:
  • Candidates must be a resident and/or citizen of one of the following countries: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey
  • Candidates must be accepted to Sciences Po’s undergraduate studies programme.

Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have previous year degree.

English Language Requirement: Applicants must meet the necessary language proficiency requirements of the host institution.

How to Apply: Applicants can apply via email.

  • Candidates must, first of all, apply to study at Sciences Po and indicate their selected programme of study. Applications must be made on Sciences Po’s Admissions website including all supporting documents requested for the Emile Boutmy scholarship application. The deadline is the same as the deadline for Emile Boutmy scholarship applications.
  • During the two weeks following the student’s application, all candidates must also apply for the Seydoux scholarship by sending an application to Caterina Sabbatini Clec’h.
    This application must include the following documents: Cover letter outlining motivations for an interest or previous experience in actions which aim to promote and bring closer together Mediterranean people in social, cultural or scientific spheres

Enhanced Eurotalents Postdoctoral Fellowships

Enhanced Eurotalents is a FP7 Marie Sklodowska-Curie COFOUND Programme, co-funded by the European Commission and managed by the French Atomic Energy and Alternative Energies Commission (CEA), aiming at nurturing international mobility of researchers at post-doctoral level and more.

Level of Researcher: Post-doctorate

Duration: 12 to 36 months.

  • Eligibility: the applicant shall not have stayed in France more than a year during the 3 years prior to the submission of the research project.
  • For this mobility scheme, called Incoming CEA Fellowship (ICF), three selection sessions are organized every year.
  • The cut-off dates to submit a research project are: 30th September 2016; 31st January 2017; 31st May 2017.

Outgoing CEA Fellowships (OCF)

  • CEA researchers who have mobility project in a host laboratory outside France
  • For this mobility scheme, called Outgoing CEA Fellowships (OCF), one selection session is organized yearly.
  • The cut-off dates to submit a research project are: 31st May 2017
  • Eligibility: applicant shall not have resided in the host country more than 12 months during the three years prior to the submission of the research proposal.

Education and experience requirements

  • Applicant must hold a Doctorate or equivalent with at least 4 years of active experience in research after a Master’s degree at the date when the mobility period starts.

Note: There are no nationality requirements; any experienced researchers may apply, regardless of their nationality.

Project selection rounds are scheduled each year with strict deadlines. Thus, Applications will be reviewed at 10 cut-off dates during the program:

The Emile Boutmy Undergraduate Programme can take different forms ranging from €3,000 to €12,300 for 3 years of undergraduate study. On an exceptional basis, a scholarship of €19,000 may be granted to cover the three years of College.

Masters Level
The Emile Boutmy Master’s Programme can take different forms ranging from €5,000 to €16,000 for 2 years of the Master’s Programme. On an exceptional basis, a scholarship of €19,000 may be granted to cover 2 years of the Master’s Programme.


Eligible students are those, first time applicants, from a non-European Union state, whose household does not file taxes within the European Union, and who have been admitted to the Undergraduate or Master’s programme.

This scholarship is awarded based on factors of excellence and according to the type of profile sought for this programme. Social criteria are also taken into account.

Postdoctoral position in France

This postdoc position (organic synthesis and coordination chemistry) is associated with the LabEx Michem Sorbonne Universités within the axis chemistry for health dedicated to innovative research tools for targeted drug delivery in the treatment of cancer.

This project aims at engineering and studying molecular multifunctional hybrid systems with both magnetic and anticancer properties providing simultaneously both magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and active targeted drug delivery.

Project title: Magnetic anti-cancer Iron-[2-hydroxypyridine-1,2,4-triazole] agents for targeted drug delivery and bimodal imaging.

Experimental work in organic synthesis and coordination chemistry for the design, synthesis and characterization of new transition metal complexes based on 2-hydroxypyridine-1,2,4-triazole (N,O) tridentate ligands.

Magnetic measurement and evaluation of fluorescence properties as well as biological tests on complexes will be carried out.

The researcher will work in two IPCM laboratories: ChemBio and ERMMES teams (organic and coordination chemists).


PhD in chemistry with a strong background in organic synthesis and knowledge and skills in coordination chemistry (synthesis under inert atmosphere, characterization of metal complexes, reactivity studies on metal complexes).

Experience in fluorescence spectroscopy will be appreciated but not mandatory. Applicants are expected to be creative, autonomous and very enthusiastic about working in an interdisciplinary and challenging research field.

6th International Summer school “Biological interactions from genes to ecosystems

TULIP invites you to his sixth international Summer school “Biological interactions from genes to ecosystems” (15-21 July 2017). This Summer school in Integrative Ecology and Biology is part of the training program of the TULIP Labex (Laboratory of Excellence – ANR) and will take place in the French Pyrenees. A unique occasion to meet international speakers gathered in Occitanie for this occasion.

Our main target audience includes Master and PhD students, as well as post-doctoral researchers. Through plenary lectures and workshops, the program will covers all aspects of interactions among organisms ranging from the molecular biology point of view up to the eco-evolutionnary scale of interactions within populations and communities. (genetic, molecular, physiological, evolutionary and ecological aspects of interactions between organisms and between organisms and their environments, in microbial, plant and animal biology).

Selected students will have the opportunity to:

  • Take an active part in research projects in these scientific fields,
  • Meet the experts of Toulouse and international researchers from all around the world,
  • Enjoy a pleasant setting in the Pyrenees

LabexMER Postdoc Fellowships, France

LabexMERInternational postdoctoral Grants  for young scientists in Marine Sciences: LabexMER post-docs: The LabexMER partners have initiated a new post-doctoral research grant program. The program is inspired by successful similar programs such as the U.S. NOAA Climate Change and Global Change postdoctoral program or WHOI postdoctoral fellowship.

The LabexMER program allow young researchers and scientists to propose their own research project in the field of marine sciences (within the LabexMER research framework) to be conducted in single or multiple LabexMER laboratories.

These grants are designed to enhance the education and training of the applicants with a primary goal to flourish the individual’s research promise and relevance to program organizer.
