Good news for many helpless residents who are struggling to get ICA Approval through ICA Smart Service, if you are  one of them then don’t worry any more. To help these stranded citizens GDRFA started a new Return Permit Service which is more trouble free than the previous one.

GDRFA Return Permit Service:

New system has been set up to facilitate the return of Dubai Residents stranded abroad. According to Dubai Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management firstly these residents are required to get an approval from GDRFA through its newly launched return permit service, once the application is approved, the residents can book air tickets.
Let’s learn how to apply for Entry Permit and get easy approval through General Directorate of Residency and Foreign affairs Dubai in 5 easy steps.

Step 1: Click Return Permit Link:
First step is to visit the official website of Amer GDRFA through below link.

We suggest everyone to use desktop/PC to fill the form as currently to mobile version is not working properly.

Step 2: Search Your Profile:

After clicking above link, you will be redirected to a page where resident need to search his/her profile in immigration system, you need to write following

• Residence Number (File Num) from your Visa Page pasted on Passport
•  Nationality
•  Year of Birth
•  Clear the Captcha code and click search

Once search button is clicked, you will be able to see your English/Arabic name with nationality and visa expiry date, if the applicant details are correct click on continue button to begin form filling.

 

Step 3: Travel Information:

Choose the country you are stranded right now , and select DXB (Dubai International Airport) as a arrival airport. Mention email address on which you will receive entry permit approval mail, pass captcha and continue button.

 

Step 4: Upload Documents:

To avoid any delay in application processing; the uploaded documents should be authentic and clear. The attachment should be clear and legible before posting.  GDRFA staff  approve or reject your application by checking your uploaded copies

 

We request you to upload clear face and text (High Quality) documents otherwise your application will be rejected.

Require documents are:
• valid passport copy
• residence    visa   Copy
•       Emirates ID Copy (both sides)
If you have any other document such as labour card, passport size photo, air ticket etc you can upload it but the important one are Passport and Visa page. You can upload up to 10 documents. Once uploaded, click on continue.

Step 5: Fees and Payment:

Last step is to submit the application; the service is free of charge. Click post button to send your return permit application.

Once you clicked post button, you will be redirected to a confirmation page with details of your application name, number and the uploaded documents.

You will also receive an immediate mail from GDRFA Smart channel with your filled details.

 

 

Approval of Entry Permit:

Generally it take one or two days to approve the request (sometime minutes only) but as the service is reaching more and more people the system is taking more time to approve the requests, but need not to worry it will not take more than  a week time to approve your request

Once it is been approved, you will be informed through mail with above attached approval sample. After that you can than book ticket to travel Dubai.
Important Points:
•       Only Dubai residence visa holders can apply for this service, but you can still  take a chance and check if the system accept your visa number or not.
•       Those applied for ICA Approval need to wait for their response, if rejected they can apply through GDRFA Return permit service.
•       To get your application approve,  upload  clear and legible documents.
•       When you get the approval then only book your tickets.
•       Returning residents can fly with any of the airlines that have approved flights to Dubai airports.
•       All arriving to Dubai must register their details on the COVID-19 DXB app.
•       Arriving residents must complete Health Declaration form.
•       Residents to bear the cost of COVID19 tests in UAE.
•       GDRFA organizes the arrival of residents.

1. Benchmark your value. Check vacancies that require your skills and experience, and read relevant trade press articles and statements by recruiters that specialise in your sector. If it turns out that you are a desirable commodity, you stand a good chance of being able to negotiate up the salary quoted in vacancies.

2. Apply for jobs as normal, but try not to get involved in discussions about salary at initial interviews. Asking about salary before you have been offered the job is usually risky because it looks as though you are only interested in the money. For those who plan to negotiate the salary upwards, it’s an even bigger mistake. You don’t want the employer to rule you out at an early stage because they fear you will be expensive.

3. Meanwhile, prepare your case. 5. Wait until they offer you the job. Simon Horton, author of Negotiation Mastery, says, “You are strongest when they have offered you the job but not named a figure. Then get in first with a high figure, otherwise they will start low and it will be hard to negotiate upwards.” State your ideal figure. You may be lucky; they may simply accept.

6. If they demur, ask why and listen carefully to their reasons. Be prepared to explain why you are asking for more money. Again, stress the benefits for the employer. It will make you a stronger negotiator if you do not see it as an oppositional process. Horton says: “If you enter a deal with a win-lose approach, you will invoke a win-lose approach from the other party.” Realise that you are both on the same side – they want you as an employee and you want their job. Then it just becomes a process of working out how you can achieve your mutual goal – both sides win.

7. Have a plan B, such as taking a job with another employer or staying with your existing job. If you have an alternative offer, it may be worth mentioning it. Whether you choose to do this or not, the knowledge that you have an alternative plan will make you a more confident negotiator.

8. Be flexible, but do not compromise too soon or too easily. Be prepared to give them time to think, and to ask for time to think yourself.

9. If all else fails, be prepared to walk away.

Microsoft says that its necessary for Cortana to collect all this data in order to work with optimum results. However, there is a lot of data that you are allowing to send back to Microsoft servers and we think you should be aware of this fact.

Microsoft can Collect Any Personal Data of Yours!

In addition to what’s mentioned above, when you download Windows 10 and sign the agreement, you are actually authorizing Microsoft to collect your following information:

• Your Identity: First and last name, email address, postal address, phone number, and other similar contact data
• Passowrds: Passwords, password hints, and similar security information used for authentication and account access
• Demographics: Data about you such as your age, gender, country and preferred language
• Interests and Habits: Data about your interests and favorites, such as the teams you follow in a sports app, the stocks you track in a finance app, or the favorite cities you add to a weather app.
• Credit Card information: Data necessary to process your payment if you make purchases, such as your payment instrument number (such as a credit card number), and the security code associated with your payment instrument.
• Usage data: Microsoft collects data about how you interact with various services. Such as the features you use, the items you purchase, the web pages you visit, and the search terms you enter.
• Contacts and relationships. We collect data about your contacts and relationships if you use a Microsoft service to manage contacts, or to communicate or interact with other people or organizations.
• Location data. Microsoft collects data about your location, either through GPS or by identifying nearby cell towers and Wi-Fi hotspots.
• Content: Microsoft collects content of your files and communications when necessary toprovide you with the services you use. This includes:the content of your documents, photos, music or video you upload to a Microsoft service such asOneDrive. It also includesthe content of your communications sent or received using Microsoft services, such as the:
  • subject line and body of an email,
  • text or other content of an instant message,
  • audio and video recording of a video message, and
  • audio recording and transcript of a voice message you receive or a text message you dictate.

Your Data Can be Shared

When downloading Windows 10, you are authorizing Microsoft to share any of above mentioned data with any third-party, with or without your consent.

We share your personal data with your consent or as necessary to complete any transaction or provide any service you have requested or authorized.

We will access, disclose and preserve personal data, including your content (such as the content of your emails, other private communications or files in private folders), when we have a good faith belief that doing so is necessary to:

Conclusion

Since Windows 10 is a device independent OS, meaning that it will be able to run on PCs, tablets, smartphones and on other capable devices, it collects a lot more data than previous versions. However, accessing private files and emails is pretty serious.

While we know that there’s nothing private on internet, this is a lot of private data that is going to get accessed and probably shared with third parties.

Considering Windows 10 is distributed as a free upgrade, data privacy advocates are likely to get on the roll soon.
