USAID Public University Scholarships is to support high school graduates to attend excellence programs at public universities.


  • Candidates applying for USAID Public University Scholarships who have achieved first or secondary results are given priority.
  • Applicants from Egypt, enrolled in Thanaweyya Amma are eligible for the scholarship.
  • Students from government schools including STEM schools are preferred.
  • Students who are active in community services are taken into consideration.
  • USAID Public University Scholarships are also available specifically for physically challenged students.

Documents Required

  • Certified copies of 1st and 2nd secondary school years.
  • Applicant must submit a Letter of Recommendation.
  • Attach a valid National ID.
  • Financial statement of the applicant’s parents.
  • Students must submit a letter of consent from their parents.
  • Student record issued from school student affairs in case of suspension.
  • Explain about participation in any extra-curricular activities.

The Qalaa Holdings Scholarship Foundation is offering Qalaa Holdings Scholarship, 2017 for talented and promising Egyptian students.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The applicants must be Egyptian nationals residing in Egypt and be under the age of 35.
  • The students applying for Qalaa Holdings Scholarship, 2017 must have a minimum of two years of work experience post-graduation.
  • The students must have received an admit from the university and program of interest.
  • Applicants should have an excellent command of the language of study and English.
  • Candidates are expected to show involvement in activities like volunteer work, NGOs, civic, public or international affairs which will be considered as an asset.
  • The students applying for Qalaa Holdings Scholarship, 2017 must be in need of financial aid.
  • The student must not receive scholarships from other sources.
  • He/She upon completion of the program, must be committed to working in Egypt for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Military service status must be clear for males.

  • Acceptance letter from the University (Copy)
  • Copy of transcripts submitted to the University
  • C.V. with updated details and interests
  • Academic and professional Letter of references (two)
  • Military Certificate for males
